I’m Back!

Laura Ghantous looking out from an art exhibit in Asheville.

David took this last year during my birthday trip.

I found a way to fit another Nia class into my schedule!

My new class will be in the Community United Church of Christ (CUCC) on Wade Avenue and Dixie Trail. I am excited to reconnect with Nia students I used to teach during the week! Hopefully, I’ll also make new connections with this location and time. I started a Nia class at CUCC right before the pandemic, and it went well—the folks at CUCC are welcoming and supportive.

I am only teaching at CUCC in June, July, and August because I have secured a big, beautiful room at Jaycee Community Center for the rest of the year. Summer camps at the Jaycee Center would relocate me anyway. Plus, Summer Nia at CUCC has a nice ring to it.

Summer Nia at CUCC will be a shorter class similar to my Cary class but will include community chat time afterward. It is a great opportunity to ask questions about Nia moves or share moments of awareness that you experience in or out of class. I am excited that we can use the Hoffman room at CUCC to chill out after class. It has comfy couches and big picture windows looking out at the surrounding trees.

Hope to dance with you soon!
