Blooming in New Ways

Hi! It's been more than a year since I last wrote about my classes. Seems crazy but there hasn't been much news to report until now. I am still learning how to juggle my time between classes and the business I started last year which required “a few” newsletters.

But I’m glad to be back!

Since my Saturday classes are blooming I have decided to only teach Nia on Saturdays now. At first, I suspended my Monday class due to an foot injury but now realize it is allowing more time for my massage practice. Thanks to all of you that sent healing energy to my foot!

Sertoma Arts Center will be getting some big renovations starting this Fall. Our last Nia class at Sertoma (for a while) will be June 20. During the renovations our Nia classes will find a home at the Glen Eden Pilot Park for a couple years. We will head to Jaycee Center for Nia in the summer in between Sertoma and Glen Eden.

It is such a delight to dance with the art that gets showcased at Sertoma. Thanks to Doreen for the pictures! We will miss Sertoma while it gets renovated—but it’ll be so amazing to come back. I am thrilled we can continue dancing together in the meantime!

We had so much fun with the routine Bloom and this rainbow we found during our last couple classes!
